Tropical Storm Barry

Tropical Storm Barry, already the second named storm of the season which officially began today is reported to have maximum sustained winds of 50 mph and central pressure has fallen to 997 mb, or 29.44 inches of mercury.
From Dr. Jeff Masters’ WunderBlog,

I don’t expect Barry will intensify to a hurricane, due to increasing wind shear and cooler waters underneath. Barry should mostly be a blessing for Florida, who can use the 3-6 inches of rain the storm is likely to bring.
