King World Interviews Ken Ivory (R-UT, District 47)

King World News has a must listen to, fascinating and uplifting, interview with Ken Ivory: Utah House of Representative (R-UT, District 47).

Ken is the gentleman who spearheaded the “Utah Legal Tender Act” which recognizes gold and silver as legal tender in the state of Utah. Ken is a partner with the law firm Ivory Law, P.C. in West Jordan, Utah. Given the daunting challenges that face the state and the nation, Ken took time from his business and law practice to run for state office in order to “secure the blessings of liberty” to his posterity. He previously served as general counsel for a publicly traded Japanese company and for the Japan Olympic Team during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, as well as coordinator of international relations in the Mayor Office of the City of Osaka, Japan.

Hurricane Irene Targets NC & SC

Late last week when Hurricane Irene made its presence known, the projected tracks all targeted the length of Florida. Now the projections have shifted to the east, missing most of Florida and aiming right for North Carolina and South Carolina. Landfall is expected early Sunday morning with sustained winds upwards of 110 miles per hour. Coming in at night has to be very scary!

Stay tuned!

Is Silver money? Is Silver Rare?

I always get great fodder for posting from the ignorance of my sister in law.

She says why should we buy Silver? It is just an industrial metal!

There’s a little matter of the Constitution which tells us that no state “…make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts.”

Article 1 – The Legislative Branch
Section 10 – Powers Prohibited of States

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

In addition, “On April 2, 1792, U. S. Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton reported to Congress the precise amount of silver found in Spanish milled dollar coins in common use in the States. As a result, the United States Dollar was defined[4] as a unit of weight equaling 371 4/16th grains (24.057 grams) of pure silver, or 416 grains of standard silver (standard silver being defined as 1,485 parts fine silver to 179 parts alloy[5]). It was specified that the “money of account” of the United States should be expressed in those same “dollars” or parts thereof. ”

Then she states that Silver is not rare. It is found everywhere!

Mike Maloney wrote in October, 2010

“Silver is extremely rare. For the first time in human history, there is more gold for investors to buy than silver.”There’s 8.3 times more gold available to buy today than silver

A big welcome to readers of Dollar Collapse. Keep coming back. Welcome readers of Max Keiser.
