I came across the idea of “Shadow People” recently. Wikipedia defines the phenomena, movement seen mostly out of the corner of your eye, as “supernatural shadow-like figures of both modern folklore and paranormal popular culture that believers describe as dark humanoid forms or evasive specters that are seen mostly in peripheral vision.”

Today, I came across a different kind of Shadow People as reported by Alice at My Modern Met

Kumy Yamashita …can place wood or metal objects in just the right light to make mysterious shadow people.

The thin metal object on the wall, lit from above, casts the silhouette of a couple.

I’ve been calling out the (gasp) global warming enthusiasts for years as believers in a hoax. I was in turn called a “denier.” Now Margaret Wente at The Globe and Mail says “the air has gone out of the climate-change movement.”

“The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics.

Hooray! But how much money has been spent uselessly on carbon footprints, ethanol and cap and trade. What a waste! Can we now move on to finding cheap energy?

Toyota has added the brake systems of the latest Lexus hybrid vehicles to a growing list of problems with various models, the company said Friday.

The company has acknowledged a software glitch that is causing problems with its braking. It said it is looking further at the best way to repair the problem.

He further tells us the motive behind one corporate free speech impairment and states, also,

“If 10 of you got together and decided to speak, just as a group, you’d say you have First Amendment rights to speak and the First Amendment right of association,” he said. “If you all then formed a partnership to speak, you’d say we still have that First Amendment right to speak and of association.”

“But what if you put yourself in a corporate form?” Justice Thomas asked, suggesting that the answer must be the same.

Again, it appears liberals are unhappy that the playing field is leveled!

I think Drudge is unfair with Katie Couric today with his headline: VIDEO SHOCK: Katie Couric frolics in Haute Couture and diamonds as CBSNEWS cuts staff…

These are not her clothes or jewelry and she’s a good looking woman with great legs. I personally have grown to like Katie and think this is an unfair hit to tie her photo shoot to CBS’s problems.
