Book Review: Dead Heat
This headline shocked me on July 29th: U.S. Intel: Iran Plans Nuclear Strike on U.S.. I’ve waited until today because Iknew this was a plot of a book I reas recently, but couldn’t remember the book.
In Timmerman’s news report
Iran has carried out missile tests for what could be a plan for a nuclear strike on the United States, the head of a national security panel has warned.
One group of tests that troubled Graham, the former White House science adviser under President Ronald Reagan, were successful efforts to launch a Scud missile from a platform in the Caspian Sea.
Suppose, some hostile power or terrorist organization got ahold of nuclear weapons and sat off our coasts and fired those atomic bomb laden miissles at Washington D.C. and Los Angeles. That’s the plot of Joel C. Rosenberg’s latest book, “Dead Heat.” Rosenberg has used the Bible to predict events in the middle east and it’s as if he has a time machine. He states upfront in an Author’s note:
I pray to God the novel you hold in your hands never comes true.
This is the fourth Fifth in a five-part series, beginning with “The Last Jihad”, “The Last Days”, “The Ezekiel Option”, “The Copper Scroll”, and now “Dead Heat”. (see correction in the comment section)
I have read them all. They are heart-pounding and make you think. Every day I look at the news emanating from the Mid East in light of Rosenberg’s books. I promise you will want our men and women, who safeguard this country, to continue to be successful.

Mike,
I work with Joel Rosenberg. Thanks for the positive review. Thought you might like to know there are actually five books in Rosenberg’s series. The first book is The Last Jihad (2002). Joel also has a non-fiction called Epicenter. Both Epicenter and Dead Heat come out in paperback next month. We appreciate your sharing your thoughts on Dead Heat
How could I forget The Last Jihad???
