There’s a reason you keep your mouth shut about dark ops! Take the case of the military operation that killed Osama bin Laden.
The first word came on May 1st from Obama that bin Liden was dead, “A small team of Americans carried out the operation,” Obama said. “After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.”
Sources said the attack was carried out by Joint Special Operations Command forces working with the CIA.
Responding to questions of what unit(s) were involved a senior defense official said “Not going to comment on units or numbers.”
Monday, night May 2nd VP Biden at a dinner said
Let me briefly acknowledge tonight’s distinguished honorees. Admiral James Stavridis is a, is the real deal. He can tell you more about and understands the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALs and what they did last Sunday.
And:
Folks, I’d be remiss also if I didn’t say an extra word about the incredible events, extraordinary events of this past Sunday. As Vice President of the United States, as an American, I was in absolute awe of the capacity and dedication of the entire team, both the intelligence community, the CIA, the SEALs. It just was extraordinary.
On May 2nd ABC News reported:
According to U.S. officials, two U.S. helicopters flew in low from Afghanistan and swept into the compound late Sunday night Pakistan time, or Sunday afternoon Washington time. Twenty to 25 U.S. Navy SEALs under the command of the Joint Special Operations Command in cooperation with the CIA stormed the compound and engaged Bin Laden and his men in a firefight, and killed Bin Laden and all those with him.
Now part of the group that took out bin Laden is dead in a fiery copter crash.
As the US mourned the death of its 30 soldiers, including Navy SEALs from the broader unit that killed Osama bin Laden, in a chopper crash in Afghanistan, a probe has been launched to determine the exact cause of the incident that led to the biggest single loss for American troops in the decade-long war.
Coincidence or revenge? Who knows, but I’d suggest treason is a possibility!
