No Eminent Domain to Build Religious School

From WaPO, Public Agency Faulted in Eminent Domain Case.
A city agency (using the power of eminent domain) violated the separation of church and state when it seized a woman’s home to help a religious group build a private school in a blighted Philadelphia neighborhood, a state appeals court ruled Monday.
If the new use was a Muslim school or a liquor store or an adult bookstore, would that have been ok?

My guess is if it were a Muslim school there might have been a slightly less outcry, but still an outcry. The powers that be would probably be ok with an adult bookstore or liquor store.
The main problem with private schools is more an issue that they are not unionized like the public schools. Liberals hate private schools, unions will (and have) spent millions of $$$ to fight private (non-union) schools from coming into “their” turf.
It’s a fact of liberal life - they do not want anything other than unionized public schools. If the city would have used eminent domain for a public school there would not have been any issue. Just another example of the liberal mindset, and how they wish poor children to remain poor and dependent on government. They would rather the neighborhood remain blighted than to give the children a chance of a better, self-achieving life.
