‘Climate change pushes poor women to prostitution, dangerous work’
There’s fear mongering over (gasp) global warming, but this reaches new heights of absurdity! ‘Climate change pushes poor women to prostitution, dangerous work’
First, it uses the active verb “pushes” as if it is happening now. The article then uses “could” as in ““Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing, possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection.”
Come on (gasp) global warming is going to extend the growing season for most not harm it and note the use of the words “climate change”. The climate is always changing. It cycles from warm to cold to wet to drought and every possibility in between. “Climate change” is nothing to fear. It just is.
Then the article says, “Based on the UNFPA report, there are 92 million Filipinos in the country as of 2009 and that number is expected to balloon to more than 146 million in the next 40 years.” “Climate change” can’t be that bad, people are healthy enough to have more babies. If they thought they couldn’t afford or feed the babies they wouldn’t have kids. If the “climate change” was so bad, people would be dying off and the population would be stable or declining.
The article goes on to say, “some women often pick out shellfish by the coastlines, which exposed to storm surges.
Women who can no longer endure this work often go out to find other jobs, while some are tempted to go into prostitution, Alcala added.”
My goodness if you are played out and can’t endure the work on the beaches, who do you think is going to pay much for your sexual services?
More fear: “The UNFPA noted that the temperature in the earth’s surface has risen 0.74 degrees Celsius in the past 100 years. The 10 warmest years globally since 1880 have also been recorded in the last 13 years.” Goodness gracious in 100 years the earth temperature has risen 3/4 of a degree!!!
The ten warmest years in the last 13 years, but has declined for the last nine. I’m scared!

Climate change Might cause the UN building in New York to overheat and Possibly explode due to very high temperatures which Could push its current residents to find a NEW home somewhere else, preferably not in the US.
