Obama Will Go to Copenhagen
According to the NYT and no mention of CLIMATEGATE in the article “Mr. Obama will tell the delegates to the climate conference that the United States intends to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions “in the range of 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020,” according to a White House official.”
Nowhere in the article is any thought about the consequences of this action. After all, if man is responsible for (gasp) global warning and world temperatures have not increased over the last ten years in spite of a large increase in CO2, what will the be the consequence of such a large reduction in green house gases? Why, we could plunge into another ice age. I would much rather suffer the consequences of another 3/4 degree rise in temps over the next 100 years than suffer through the darn cold. What was it that Oprah said regarding Chicago?
“Why Would Anybody Stay? It’s Freezing Here, And I Have A Mansion In Montecito
Have you had enough yet?

The human race does far better when the earth is warmer as compared with when it gets cold. Cold and damp climates are hard on crops, in turn are hard on critters and humans who depend on those crops. I don’t have the figures in front of my; however, the population of earth fell dramatically the last time the climate changed to the little ice age. Starvation and disease spike and migration, if you can call it that, to warmer climes does not keep up with dwindling food supplies.
The folks who fear global warming must be blind to this fact. Humans have been able, for the most part, to adapt to warm ups in climate. We are an industrious race, some are lazy or stupid and they tend to starve in any climate; but those who are prepared can survive under warmer conditions.
