You Are Missing The Point!
Quite a rumpus over Beaverton School District teacher in Oregon who started CrashtheParty.org urging the Tea party to be infiltrated by people who don”t share the Tea Party’s values. Jason Levin, a media lab technology teacher, wants to “dismantle and demolish the tea party by any nonviolent means necessary.” The criticism has been aimed at Levin for allegedly working on the site on school time or at school. That would be a legitimate criticism if he did do work on the site at school, according to the laws.
However, it seems to me that the bigger picture has been ignored. Jason Levin, apparently, doesn’t agree with the mission of the Tea Party. What is the mission? Each Tea Party community has written their own mission statement, essentially making freedom from big government their goal Let’s take a look at one specific mission statement that of Obama’s home state, the Illinois Tea Party:
The mission of the Illinois Tea Party is to protect, preserve, and expand our freedom. We believe in the power of the individual and free markets to improve the quality of human life. We believe that equality should not be confused with entitlements. We support a tax structure that encourages private sector growth, not government growth. We believe that allowing the American people to keep more of their hard-earned dollars is the key to economic stability. We believe that government should only operate to the capacity outlined and provided for in our founding documents. Finally, we believe that government exists to serve the American people…not the other way around.
For decades, government has ignored public sentiment on issues including immigration, taxation, national security, and welfare reform. President Obama and both Houses of Congress continue to pass legislation expanding the power of government. Americans are tired of funding the failed policies of politicians and government bureaucrats.
For me I have no disagreement with anything in that statement of intent. Here’s the real problem. We have a teacher of sixth through eighth grade students, who doesn’t agree with the Tea Party’s aims. Why the hell is he teaching our kids? If my child was taught views contrary to the mission statement of the Illinois Tea Party, I would pull my kid out of that school.
That’s the real problem, not whether he did work on the site at school.

Well, the point is….most teachers and education administrators are liberal democrats.
There is nothing wrong with that, except they tend to hold the view that government or the united nations should take care of all problems, and they have no qualms about wasting the tax payer’s dollar.
Oddly enough, they tend to be tighter than heck with their own money.
I find the rabid hatred from the liberal democrats toward the Tea Party and Sarah Palin odd.
It brings to mind, the expression, “gnashing their teeth”.
By the way, have any of you seen the “Ethnicity and Race Data Collection” form that all state schools, under federal mandate will be passing out?
I took a look at the form. My wife is 1/4 Chippawa and her tribe is not listed. That seems to be discrimination against the Chips.
Why is “White” listed after African American/Black and before Asian. Isn’t that showing preferential treatment to whites? Shouldn’t it be in alphabetical order?
