Food Shortage In America
I continue to believe that America is near a critical time for food supplies and have blogged about Hunger in America. Today, the Government’s food security report showed that as much as 15 percent of US households were suffering from food shortage in 2009.
According to the report, those suffering from severe food shortages include 28 percent of adults who at some point in 2009 did not eat because they cannot afford to buy food, while 97 percent skipped a meal or cut the size of their meal for the same reason.

Self control and budgeting seem to be at the heart of many issues which face Americans. This generation has not been taught to live within its means and has been shown by example that you can have anything you want right now without planning to pay for it in a reasonable amount of time. Folks think they have to have HBO instead of health insurance, a fancy car instead of emergency funds in the bank or a slew of other miss directed priorities. Is it any wonder that many folks don’t eat properly, having spent a minimal paycheck on lottery tickets, Bingo or other get rich quick pipe dreams.
TF, that reminds me I ‘m worried about retirement so I must buy my Lottery ticket tomorrow before 6:00PM. Can you email me and remind me?
