Our Evening With Marilyn
Are you looking for a new way to experience the latest movies? If so try the Laurelhurst Theater on 28th and East Burnside. Here the ticket prices are $4 for adults and $3 for seniors and just like home, you can sip your beer or wine while watching the movie.
Saturday night my wife and I watched “My Week With Marilyn” which is nominated for two 2012 Oscar performances by Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe and Kenneth Branagh as Lawrence Olivier. We each had pepperoni pizza adult beverages while sitting in comfortable seats and our own table.
Sure the screen isn’t as big as those at the multiplexes and there’s no stadium seating, but the price is right. The audience was appreciative and gave well-earned applause when the movie ended.
