From the Anchorage Daily News, Palins say teen daughter is pregnant
The 17-year-old daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin is pregnant, according to a statement released today by Palin and her husband.

“Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family,” the statement continued. “We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”
Reuters reports “Senior McCain campaign officials said McCain knew of the daughter’s pregnancy when he selected Palin last week as his vice presidential running mate, deciding that it did not disqualify the 44-year-old governor in any way.”
Nice, McCain. What kind of soldier uses a pregnant 17-year-old girl as a political shield? You knew what this was going to do, how it would divert attention away from your policies. You are throwing her under the bus.
