Sarah Palin Was VP Material in Feb. 2007
There’s all this chatter on the web that John McCain is not a good judge of character based on the job he and his campaign did on vetting Gov. Sarah Palin. Some have suggested it was a spur of the moment decision. Tom Blumer explodes that myth at Pajamas Media in ‘McCain Didn’t Vet Palin’ Meme Has Serious Holes.
I was not surprised at the pick of Sarah Palin. I subscribe to To The Point (by subscription only). On June 4th Jack Kelly wrote a piece titled FIRE AND NICE FOR MCCAIN’S VP. He writes
There is one potential running mate who has virtually no down side. Those conservatives who’ve heard of her - yes, her - were delighted to learn that McCain advance man Arthur Culvahouse was in Alaska recently, because they surmised he could only be there to discuss the vice presidential nomination with Gov. Sarah Palin.
The name Sarah Palin shouldn’t be a surprise in another way. There’s a blog Draft Sarah Palin for Vice President and the very first post was on Why Sarah Palin? Somebody has had her on their radar screen for a very long time in terms of politics.

Maybe you aren’t surprised at the Sarah Palin pick, but I am thoroughly shocked at the full blown, dislike and criticism coming from the democrats.
I always thought they thought they were the more accepting and forgiving party.
WOW, they have turned nasty over this lady and her family.
