Yes, I watched the debate! I was nervous for Palin, after all, the MSM says it’s over and the final nail would be delivered from naif Sarah Palin.
Put yourself in her position. You are called on to debate a senator of 30+ years on the economy and foreign policy in front of 50+ million people. I thought she did great. She’s so darn cute! The camera loves her! And she establishes a bond instantly. Yes her answers at times are incoherent or they circle back on themselves, but she is a gamer. She worked the conversation around to the points she wanted to stress.
I’m sure fact checking will reveal numerous errors on Biden’s part, but I thought he did well, particularly in the last third.
The most galling thing for me in this debate and the one with McCain and Obama, is the spewof propaganda from the Democrat’s mouths that never get challenged. The biggest piece of crap is blaming this whole sub-prime mess on Bush, when the real culprits were Sen Dodd, Rep. Barney Frank, Franklin Raines, Johnson and Gorelick, all Democrats. But McCain and Palin let them get away with this crap. Another is global warming. There are excellent arguments that can be made against the whole man made haox crap.
It is tough to argue with an idealogue. They just keep repeating their lies no matter what you say. I sensed Palin got frustrated with their crap.
Drudge has Palin ahead 72 to 27%. The lib papers see it differently. Roger Simon sums it up:
But if McCain-Palin actually pull this one out, it is the MSM that will be the big losers here. They have put heart and soul behind Obama without really knowing him. For shame.
