Our Allies And Iranian Sanctions
A lot is made by the Democrats that Bush works alone. That under an Obama administration, we would have a reapproachment with our allies and work together, as allies should, on common problems. I say BS in my loudest voice!
Case in point. We all agree that Iran should not join the nuclear club and we are willing to use sanctions to pressure Iran to give up its nuclear weapons ambitions.
A key sanction on the table was a ban on technology that would reduce Iran’s dependence on refined fuel products. So how is it that Germany approves a $157 million deal for the SPG (Steiner-Prematechnik Gastec) to build three plants that convert gas to liquid fuels in the Islamic Republic?
You can only have a better working relationship with our “allies” if you don’t stand for anything.
