Who Is Judith MIller Protecting?

In Is Judith Miller Nuts?, I asked the question who is Miller protecting. Why stay in jail for 85 days if the source you are allegedly protecting gave you a relaese from liability? Now Powerline (Hat tip to Instapundit) goes a step further and gives some possible answers. Don’t get too sympathetic for Judith Miller!
