I ‘ve Been Sick!
I have been so sick with a sinus infection and then bronchitis and situational asthma since Jan. 15th that I’ll spend a little time at the computer before I start coughing my lungs out. I just haven’t had much heart for blogging. This may be the best day I’ve had. The kids on the bus and I all just hacked out way to school and back, through the rain and snow. My wife says it has been like her partner was missing.
I smoked from the time I was 18 until I was 47. It has been 16 years since I had my last cigarette. I have been extremely lucky that those cigarettes didn’t do me harm aside from some diminished lung capacity. Let me tell you, when I started coughing, sometimes it was as if my lungs went into defib and no air went in or out. I struggled to start breathing again. How terror-filled one’s life must be to have emphasema and suffer through those kinds of times That’s why I thanked God that I had found the power to quit. I have always like that commercial, the one that goes “The power to Calm, the power to Comfort, the power to help you quit, successfully. Nicotine CQ!”
If you still smoke, you know it’s not good for you. Find a way to quit.

I quit smoking in my mid 20’s after I collapsed a lung. You might relate to my article, A Two Chiropractor Day, which I posted yesterday after I coughed so hard I wrenched a couple of ribs out of place. Hope we both get to feeling better.
