What Was It?

Chris Monty at Blippet decribes the phenomenum: “The spinning spiral was seen around 8:45 a.m. local time (in Norway) and lasted for about two minutes. A blue tail of sorts seemed to anchor the spiral to earth, before the light “exploded” into a ring of white fire.”
I read a couple of different “takes” and the best guess was some kind of missile from Russia; but Russia is in denial. Maybe the Mayan Calendar was off by a couple of years, “It’s the end of the world”.
Okay, I’ll go back and sit in the corner, again.
