NW Thompson To Reopen!

Joseph Rose writes today in the Oregonian that NW Thompson between NW Cornell and NW Skyline will reopen next Friday. Rose writes that “…a land slide wiped out a section of Thompson.” I took the same journey up Thompson after it was closed to see for myself what damage was done and posted a video of what I found. I didn’t see the “landslide”, but did see a road bed that could slide if not repaired. Here’s a link to that post and the video I shot.
It’s taken nearly a year for them to get around to fixing this?
If only it’d had a bike path….
Max, you could have used a bike on it. The road was closed but a bike could get through.
Probably why it was closed for so long - they hate cars in this town. I was, however, thinking that if the footage you shot had included a bike path on the crumbling edge, they’d have had it fixed within a week!
Max, I won’t argue with you on that!!
